Heffron installed two (2) separate VRV systems in a new two-story building and gymnasium that totals 120,000 square feet in size. The focus of this project is utilizing energy-efficient technology that will become integral part of the historic architecture of Old Town Alexandria. We installed a separate VRV for the gymnasium and a second system for the classroom instructional area. The facility includes 43 classrooms as well as, flexible and collaborative spaces. Heffron was instrumental with working with Turner Construction during the pre-construction process. We coordinated demonstrations by the manufacturer and organized tours for the Board of Education personnel of other projects in which we installed a VRV systems. Embodying this project is (12) Heat Recovery Units, (102) Brach Selector Boxes, (2) Make-up Air unit, (14) Energy Recovery Units, and a Water Harvesting System on budget and on schedule for the fall 2014 school year.
