Heffron handled the mechanical fit-out of FedEx Field, delivering the food service and hospitality infrastructure that a full stadium crowd depends on from the first gate opening to the final whistle.
The scope covered all food service and cafeteria areas — every concession stand in the building — along with a 40,000-square-foot commercial kitchen built to support stadium-scale production. Heffron also completed the locker rooms, tying plumbing and mechanical systems into the broader building infrastructure.
Stadium work runs on an immovable schedule, and this one was tighter than most. National television commitments fixed the opening date before construction started — there was no version of the project that finished late. Systems had to be installed, tested, and turned over across dozens of separate service points spread through the concourses, all inside a compressed turnaround.
Heffron staffed and sequenced accordingly, running the concession stands, the kitchen, and the locker rooms in parallel rather than end to end, and closing out each area as it came available. Every system was ready for full game-day load on opening night.
