Heffron Company was contracted by Stranix Associates as the mechanical partner in a design-build project at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, DC. Heffron was responsible was developing coordination drawings for the entire project. Some of the major equipment that was installed was a 480-ton Climacool chiller, BAC Cooling Towers (quantity 3), and the required control work to operate the building most effectively.

Heffron Company realized the importance of this landmark in Washington, DC and was required to perform all of this mechanical retrofit over millions of dollars of artwork. The HVAC system in this museum is crucial to preserving some of the most famous pieces of artwork in the entire world.

Working as a design-build contractor, Heffron delivered the project on-time and within budget for the owner.
